Word For Today:Love The Lord

Opening Scripture: Mark 12: 30Ampc
And you shall love the Lord your God out of and with your whole heart and out of and with all your soul (your life) and out of and with all your mind (with your faculty of thought and your moral understanding) and out of and with all your strength. This is the first and principal commandment.

Glory to God!
Beloved loving comes from the heart, soul, and mind.
For us to love in our minds we must focus or set our minds on Spiritual things. Glory!

Why the mind? Remember our mind is the gateway to our hearts. What your mind gives access through thought stays in your heart.

Romans 8:6 says,
Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever].

Beloved when we set our mind on the flesh or fleshly things, is hostile to God it can never submit to God’s law. we feel lifeless and uneasy because we are turned away from Christ in our spirit.
And when we are turned away, we can’t love Him completely we reject the love He gave us.

We become dead to His will and purpose for us.
But by setting our mind on spirit matters(allowing the leading of the Holy Spirit), we are peaceful and full of life. Glory to God!

Are you not aware of this; By setting our mind on spiritual matters, our whole being is focused on God!?
How can I get my mind to focus on Spiritual things should be our top question?

There is only one way to set our mind on spiritual matters, which is by Studying the Bible with an open heart. Why?

Open to learning and unlearning. As we study God’s word it changes us in two different ways :
1)we learn something new.
2) we unlearn some things we already know. Maybe we thought they were right but God’s word pointed it out as an error. Thereby making us change our perspective on that thing.

It takes humility to unlearn.
When we study His word, our mind is enlightened and renewed, and we are washed by the water in the Word. Studying God’s Word daily greatly benefits our minds and our entire soul. It constantly draws us to God and His ways. Amen!

God’s word makes us grow in Him.
Loving the Lord is the first commandment and until we love our creator effectively and efficiently than can we love ourselves and those around us.

Love is very vital in our walk with God; Obey His command and you will be richly blessed.

I pray for you today to love the Lord in your mind in Jesus’ name Amen.

In The Spirit Of Love:
Remain Ever Lifted.
