Word For Today:Beloved You Must Inquire

Opening Scripture:
1 Samuel 23: 1 – 4
1: When David was told, “Look, the Philistines are fighting against Keilah and are looting the threshing floors,”
2: he inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I go and attack these Philistines?” The LORD answered him, “Go, attack the Philistines and save Keilah.”
3:But David’s men said to him, “Here in Judah we are afraid. How much more, then, if we go to Keilah against the Philistine forces!”
4:Once again David inquired of the LORD, and the LORD answered him, “Go down to Keilah, for I am going to give the Philistines into your hand.

Glory to God!
It’s wise you ask the Lord for direction in decision-making. It does not matter how many times your mind is saying you now understand the pattern, that there is no need to inquire, that’s a lie from the devil.

Remember when you make bad choices he gains access to devour be wise.
This inquiring from God is not a temporary thing or when you feel like it, rather it’s a must lifestyle to enable you to fulfill your destiny and implement kingdom matters rightly.

Note: Never give in to taking giant steps without God’s approval and presence for certainly, it will fail.

Never be carried away by saying it’s always a yes because sometimes it might be a No! But come to terms with this; no matter the response from God I must obey.

For instance, when David wanted to build the temple for the Lord, he inquired and was told yes but later Nathan told Him “NO” you can’t build it God says you are not qualified. (study 2 Samuel 7)

And David obeyed and did not build it.
But when he got a “yes” in the opening scripture he obeyed and went and save Keilah.
Inquiring from the Lord is about making our plans with God, and how to respond when God says “no” or “yes” to our plans.
Inquiring gives us a better direction void of chaos Glory!

A believer who always inquires from the Lord states the obvious, that He/ She
fears and reverence Christ as his/ her Lord and personal savior.

How can we inquire from the Lord?

1) Through prayers.
Beloved just table the matter to Him. Certainly, He will hear you.

Listen your prayer can be an agreement prayer with your prayer partners or you pray on your own.

2)We can also inquire from God through a Prophet David did that a lot and prophets are still available in our midst to date.

We still have people with prophetic gifts who we can go to when we want to know God’s mind on something, we just need to make the distinction between prophetic words and personal advice.

We can gather a few prophetic people around and lay our decision before God together, wait on God and see if He speaks directly for the issue that we have. Most times He speaks and a direction is given. Hallelujah!

I pray for you today to inquire from the Lord always for better direction in life in Jesus’ name Amen.
