Word for Today: Study!

Opening scripture: Acts 17:11 KJV
These were nobler than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Hallelujah!
It is important to study God’s Word. What kind of a believer are you? If I may ask? Are you a hook line and sinker believer?

The Opening Scripture was talking about a particular kind of believers that Paul met. The character they displayed made us hear and read about them to date. They were the barons, Christians.

The scripture made me understand that they were entirely ready, accepted, and welcomed God’s Word with the indignation of mind and eagerness to hear it. How eager are you to hear God’s Word and obey?

It went further to say that they were not only eager but daily searched and examined the scripture to verify certain things they heard. Glory to God!

No wonder Paul said in
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The personal revelation of God’s Word serves as a confirmation of what you heard someone preach or teach. It gives you a double assurance of what God can do and you only get such revelation through studying, comparing scripture with scripture, and allowing the Holy Spirit to teach you God’s Word (Truth).

The challenges we are having in the body of Christ today is this, many believers lack proper knowledge of God’s word and neglect personal study. This is why they are deceived by any kind of doctrine and blame God. Quit the blame games, God’s Word is available to build you up, in it, you will find hidden secrets which will enable you to fulfill your destiny and live a godly life. Hallelujah!

God’s Word is needed and only when you search it through studying, will it be available for you to use.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Who is the man of God?  We are! I need no one to tell me the beans Christians worked in righteousness and holiness.

Psalm 119: 11 says I have stored up your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.

Beloved for God’s word the truth shall set you free.
Grow and maintain balance to avoid being deceived by false men who claim they are sent by God.

Double-check the words they preach versus God’s Word; you study the Word as well.

I pray for you to desire God’s Word like never before as your Christian life grows in Jesus’ name. Amen.
