Opening Scripture: Daniel 1:8-9. KJV
8: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
9: Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.

The story above is about a young man called Daniel who was God-fearing and did everything to stay that way even though he endangered his own life (Study the life of Daniel).
Beloved stay true to God no matter the situation; remain with Him, even when the offer of temptation gets so high and looks or seems like paradise, stick with God. Daniel was in the King’s house, given the best of food and wine, he had many offers other people never had.
These offers were against God’s Word (which was expected of him to keep) so he rejected the offers. He refused to be defiled by the King’s goodies and maintained holiness. Praise the Lord!
Daniel’s godly character made him receive favor in the sight of the King’s Chief not only that, but also it came with compassion and lovingkindness.
Beloved what circumstances, situations, or challenges are tempting you or making you stand against God and His Word and please the world?
Note: The king of this world is the devil who refuses to please him. James 4:4 says Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
When you follow your desire over God’s command you have cheated on Him. No matter how sweet, appealing or juicy it sounds and appears, remains strong as God’s soldier.
Never give in to their demands and forsake God and defile yourself for pleasures that never last long, which lead to spiritual death that will make you lose your soul. It does not matter the caliber of persons who are persuading you to follow their footsteps against God’s standard which is expected of you as a believer to keep, instead, stand firm and decline the offer. Glory to God!
Whether it leads to marriage, getting a job, business, making money, having babies, or connections, be reminded that nothing is worth losing your soul for and gaining the world.
Those challenges will pass. Stand firm and as God favored Daniel with the Chief so will He send you your destiny helpers who won’t make you defile yourself for material things, rather they will obey God’s standards whether they be Christians or not and you shall surely testify.

Honor God and get favored. Come to a point in your life where whatever God won’t give you shall not get your attention.
I pray for you today that your trust in God shall never fail as He shall crown you with favor this season in Jesus name Amen.
