Opening Scripture:
Obadiah 1:3
“The arrogance of your heart has deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rock, in the loftiness of your dwelling place, who say in your heart, ‘Who will bring me down to earth?’”
Praise the Lord!
God hates pride.
Humility is the remedy to pride.
Proverbs 13:10
“By insolence comes nothing but strife, but with those who take advice is wisdom.”
Be approachable!
Humility comes when we take advice, realizing we don’t have all the answers.
Having and keeping a sense of approachability is key.
Don’t see other humans as lesser to you. Hallelujah!
Don’t be arrogant be teachable. When you offend others admit you’re wrong and apologize.
Self boast is wrong to allow others to praise you or sing of your praise. Do things without seeking the praises of men – remember such services has no heavenly reward you did it for vain glory.
When we focus on ourselves and our accomplishments, we open the door to pride. We assume we deserve this recognition or that award. The moment pride steps in humility will not be found.
Beloved remember God hates pride stay humble. This should be a constant reminder to stay away from pride. Humility stands as the only remedy to pride.
One can’t be provoked to boast, for you to boast about what you are, pride exists in you. Until you are honest to yourself that you are proud the remedy humility can’t come. Are you offended by this message on pride then beloved pride is at work in you?
How do we know we have been delivered from the sin of pride?
One way is to pass the Praise Test.
I ask have you passed the praise test?
Can you in humility pass the glory to God, to whom it rightly belongs?
Yes! God deserves all the glory even when he uses you to bless a life. Glory!
Don’t get me wrong people can appreciate you for rendering help towards them but the moment you notice the glory/ praise is more on you than God correct such individuals if not they can lure you to pride.
Beloved be Christ-like.
Hebrew 2: 9 says
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
Christ the son of God lowered Himself on earth to die for us and He gave us the very life we live now as believers, which is Humility in full display.
In conclusion, I encourage you to stay humble, and certainly, the good Lord will lift you.
God hates pride.
I pray for you today to be christ-like be humble in Jesus’ name Amen.

Remain Ever Lifted.
