Opening Scripture: 1 Samuel 1: 10 -12
10:And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the Lord and wept in anguish.
11: Then she made a vow and said, “O Lord of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head.”
12:And it happened, as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli watched her mouth.
Glory to God!
Beloved if you can pray we serve a God that answers prayers. Pray in Faith and receive manifestations of the answered prayers.
If I may ask are you praying with faith? Faith is not let’s see if God will answer rather faith is God has answered He can deliver me and grant me my desires.
The act of praying and faith in God
turned Hannah’s case around and the Lord answered her prayers
Hannah poured out her pains of being barren to the Lord and also made a vow to Him saying “am going to give him back to You for your services”. Her pray was heartfelt.
Her prayer was consistent and full of faith, she returned to her source (God) in the place of prayers – knowing He never fails. Backing her prayers with a Vow. That’s powerful!
You can get answers to those respect start praying and stop experimenting with God. God is not a second option – After I have tried others let me try Him or let me pray but if He does not answer speedily I move to the next stage. He should be your ONLY SOURCE and hope.
The place of prayer allows you to make a vow to the Lord and also be faithful to keep it because God will do His part – certainly He will give you the best. Glory to God!
Indeed the Lord did give her a son but one with a difference.
A great prophet that we still read of Him to date. Hallelujah!
Hannah through her act displayed confidence, trust, and faith in God. Do you have confidence, trust, and faith in God to do the impossible?!
Note: You don’t go to your source lacking this criterion because it’s a waste of time. Without Faith, it’s impossible to please God.
I spotted one remarkable thing she did, Hannah continued to pray till she got word from God that her prayers have been answered – a victory note before she stopped praying concerning that particular request she made to God.
Beloved until you get a victory note or a manifestation to your prayers, you don’t stop praying.
Just like Hannah till she got a victory note she did not stop praying.
Don’t be in a hurry to quit praying over a matter till you get a victory note/ manifestation.
You may not necessarily be praying about that challenge rather you give God thanks for answering your request.
Prayer of thanksgiving is also a prayer.
I pray for you today whatever that has brought you shame, and pain and you have been mocked based on that, through your prayer of faith today the good Lord has turned it around for a celebration in Jesus’ name Amen.
