Opening Scripture: 1 John 3:11For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
Glory to God!
Love is a must for all believers. We must love one another. It’s a mandate.
Love is a Christian – nature.
God’s love for mankind brought Jesus.
John 3: 16 For God so loved the world that He give His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
He gave all. Therefore love is giving we have to replicate this same show of love to humanity.
As believers, we ought to make love a priority.
Listen loving people is not easy yet we are commanded to love.
You must have love in you to be able to love.
1 Corinthians 13 : 3 says And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus says;
‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and most important commandment. The second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself”.
Jesus gave love priority over all other Christian virtues. Therefore every thought, response, and the act of goodwill must first pass through the fine filter of love, when it does not go through that process it means nothing at all.
Another valid point that encourages us to love is when we understand the importance of love.
Jesus said All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commands” (Matt. 22:40)
He also went ahead to state this; If you love Me, you will keep My commandments” (John 14:15). Also He said, “I give you a new commandment: love one another. Just as I have loved you, you must also love one another” (John 13:34).
Are you a lover? The response or answer shows If you love the Lord love is a commandment we are mandated to keep.
To be continued…
I pray for you today to be love personified in Jesus’ name Amen.
