Word For Today: Godly Character (Part 2)

Opening Scripture: 1 Timothy 4: 7
But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness.

Halleluyah!
Previously I started by saying;
Naturing Godly Character is taking away old habits and embracing new ones.

Whatever your nature properly grows so well. When you study God’s word to obey and do what it says, in no due time your lifestyle will reflect God’s word.

Remember this saying champions are not born they are made daily. You’re born again but the lifestyle you exhibit is the product of God’s word you allowed to rule you.

You can be born again with a bad lifestyle until you begin to change your mindset, and lifestyle with God’s word. Until you start making godly decisions.

Your routine defines you.
Use God’s words as the basis for forming your thoughts, then God’s Word becomes your words.

These changes are in four stages;

  • If you continue in God’s Word, then you will develop godly actions,
  • If you continue acting in a godly way you will end up with godly habits.
  • When you become consistent with godly habits, you will have godly character.
  • Finally, Your godly character then becomes your life’s testimony.

Beloved waste no more time, start developing godly character today by catching up with God’s way of thinking. Be kingdom minded.

Matthew 6:33 – But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

Underline these two words, AIM at and STRIVE after first of all God’s kingdoms.
Try and understand the meaning of those two words then go for it.

Being Christ-like in totality should be our top responsibility. Mold your Christian character to showcase Christ that is in you.
Finally, kick start the mind of Christ in you by renewing your mind with God’s Word daily.

Make studying God’s word a daily lifestyle for the benefits are next to none.

I pray for you today to desire godly character in Jesus’ name Amen.

Remain Ever Lifted.
