Word For Today : Get Committed To Kingdom Advancement In Your Local Church – Part 6

Opening Scripture: 1peter 4:10 Ampc
As each of you has received a gift (a Particular spiritual talent, a gracious divine endowment), employ it for one another as [befits] good trustees of God’s many-sided grace [faithful stewards of the extremely diverse powers and gifts granted to Christians by unmerited favor].

Hallelujah!
Why do we serve? We serve because is a mandate to every believer. We are carriers of great potential and then serve it manifests for all to see and glorify the Lord. Let’s continue to look at the following a believer must put into consideration while serving in your local church:-

4.Out of obedience to Jesus: When we obey our savior it simply means we love and fear Him. Are you obedient through service? Jesus commands us to serve others.

When you serve the local church through a unit, you are being obedient to what Jesus has called you to. John 10:27 says my sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me.

Also, He said in Mark 9:35 “And He sat down and called the twelve. And He said to them, “if anyone is first, he must be last of all and servant of all”.

Can this be said about you beloved? If you are a believer and you don’t have the desire to serve repent of it today.

Disobedience is rebelliousness it leads one astray. When you walk in disobedience you give access to the enemy and your Christian life is questioned.

5.Be Christ -Like through following Christ’s example.

Philippians 2:5 – 7 says  “Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.”.

Christ lived by example and never cared about His kingship nature but served.
This should be your identity- the ability to serve shows humility.

God sent His son to be the ultimate servant. When you serve, you are following the very example Jesus set for us- giving of yourself for other people.

Hallelujah!.
Galatians 5:13…but through love, you should serve one another.

The motive behind serving is to show love. Until you love you can’t serve.

I heard a preacher say “A good measure of our spiritual health is our depth of concern for other people.” Sound spiritual health is doing godly good things.

As we allow the Gospel to change our hearts, we will develop deep care for other people. Our attention will begin to turn away from ourselves and to the needs of others. Are you not aware of this; Serving is a SELFLESS service!

Note: Finally in serving God, He changes us.
Serving in the local church is a vehicle to discover how we are made and how the Lord can use us mightily for His kingdom.

Service provides us the opportunity to know more about how we are created: our likes and dislikes, what we can do well and what we cannot.

Serving in general builds us up.  I ask, are you willing to serve today. Do the right thing by saying yes and live a great Christian life here on earth and receive your reward on earth here and also in heaven.

I urge you today to serve in your local church and promote Kingdom Advancement beloved be dedicated. Hallelujah! Enough of being idle when it comes to serving the Lord take a bold step today.

I pray for you today may you be sold out entirely to kingdom advancement in Jesus name Amen.
