Word For Today: Do You Fear The Lord?

Opening Scripture: Psalm 128: 1
Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in his ways!

Hallelujah!
Giving God reverence at all times is fear of the Lord.

Blessed is the man that fears the Lord. Do you fear Him? A man that fears the Lord is known through his character.

When you fear the Lord, there are things you will not do as a believer like; disobeying His instruction and living an ungodly Lifestyle. Such will not be seen in you or heard about you.

You will cultivate the godly character of scrutinizing every decision through God’s word before you make and do them. For instance, Daniel feared the Lord and it was seen in his character.

Daniel 1: 8 But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way.

Listen it does not matter the situation you find your self just as Daniel did, He disobeyed the orders of the human king and obeyed the KING of KINGS.

And he was not put to shame.
Daniel 1: 9  Now God had caused the official to show favor and compassion to Daniel.

The favor caused him to listen to Daniel at the end Daniel was victorious ( study Daniel 1:10 – 16)
A man that fears the Lord is super blessed.

Stop associating with woman and man that does not fears the Lord rather stay with those who know the blessings of fearing the Lord. No matter the challenge don’t choose man’s decisions against God’s will or instructions.

When you fear God you will walk in His ways. Daniel walked in the ways of the Lord. ( Study Daniel 6)

Psalm 1: 1 says Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Walking in His ways is to walk godly, seek counsel from the godly, stand in the path of the righteous, sit in the seat of the wise, delight in God’s words, and meditate on them day and night. Glory to God!

The proper respect all creature owes God is described as the beginning of wisdom. Meaning it’s very vital you fear God – in it lies a blessing and it is a wise living. Glory!

A man of wisdom is super blessed and wisdom makes you fear the Lord. (study Proverbs 1:7 and 9:10, Ecclesiastes 12:13)

It’s wise we fear the Lord; even the one who brought us this blessing Christ Jesus feared and obeyed Him. Remember God’s Mercy is upon those who fear Him (Luke 1: 50)

This blessing is universal. All who will honor and respect God receive this. It is not dependent on race, class, education level, or even intelligence. Praise the Lord!

I encourage you today to fear the Lord and be blessed to be a blessing.

I pray for you that a strong
desire to fear the Lord rest mightily on you today in Jesus’ name amen.
