Opening Scripture :1 Samuel 23: 1 – 4.
1: When David was told, “Look, the Philistines are fighting against Keilah and are looting the threshing floors,”
2: he inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I go and attack these Philistines?” The LORD answered him, “Go, attack the Philistines and save Keilah.”
3:But David’s men said to him, “Here in Judah we are afraid. How much more, then, if we go to Keilah against the Philistine forces!”

Glory!
A lot of decision-making in life requires we inquire of the Lord.

When you inquire, you are void of mistakes – I mean life regrettable mistakes.
When your decisions are in line with God’s plan and purpose for your life rest assured you’re victorious all the way.

David was a man who inquires of the Lord before He takes decisions. This kind of lifestyle should be in us. For further understanding let’s get to know the meaning of inquiry and decision.

Inquiry is to ask for information from someone.
This is best done with someone more knowledgeable than you are in regarding particular information.

And can anyone be more knowledgeable than our creator Himself? No!

A decision on the other hand is a conclusion or resolution reached after consideration.

From these meanings, you will realize that inquiry helps decision a great deal.

David never takes major decisions without seeking/ inquiring from the Lord and when it comes to God’s will and plan concerning our lives every decision is major.

Decision-making can mare or propel an individual.
To every believer who wants to do God’s will and fulfill destiny, you must always inquire before making decisions on the direction your life has to go – it’s very vital. Hallelujah!

Inquiring from the Lord leads to a better end when you obey the outcome.

Until you understand the following about God you won’t inquire
*God does have a plan for our lives – David’s life teaches us that He is concerned with every decision.

*God’s plans are the best way to live our lives – they take into account his plan for us, and his plan for all of creation.

*God reveals his plans when we have the intention of obeying him if not, not so much will he reveal to you.

I pray for you today to inquire from the Lord always for better direction in life in Jesus’ name Amen.
