Opening Scripture: 1peter 4:10 Ampc
As each of you has received a gift (a Particular spiritual talent, a gracious divine endowment), employ it for one another as [befits] good trustees of God’s many-sided grace [faithful stewards of the extremely diverse powers and gifts granted to Christians by unmerited favor].
Hallelujah!
As believers, we live for kingdom advancement our primary assignment on earth.
Let’s continue to look at the following a believer must put into consideration while serving in your local church:-
8. Make the work a pleasure, not a heavy burden.
Hebrew 13: 17 Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.
Without confidence in who is leading you won’t obey, for them to be leaders it means they are to give an account of what your team/member is assigned to do.
Note: Whenever you’re doing something and there is no joy, immediately speak to someone about it instead of doing it without joy. Don’t keep silent. When you serve without joy, the service no longer has a reward.
Beloved, as you serve in your local church honor your pastors, honor your leaders also pastors honor your spiritual children always be accountable. When a leader is accountable you earn more respect and loyalty. Hallelujah!
Why do we serve:-
1.To grow in their relationship with Christ. Those who serve in church are hearing and seeing the Gospel lived out.
Serving in a team gives opportunity to surround yourself with other believers that can encourage and strengthen your walk with Christ.
2. It helps them discover their purpose and feel fulfilled. There is fulfillment when you put other people’s needs before yours.
When you serve and give up your time and energy for someone else, you get emotionally and spiritually recharged. It gives more meaning to your life as a servant of Christ. We live to be a blessing to others it’s a Christ-like lifestyle. We ought to be like Him. Glory to God!
- It gives us the opportunity to use our skills and talents for the
Kingdom. Every believer has a special gift given to them by God. We were not given that gift for personal use but to serve humanity in general. There is a reward when you use your gifts to bless lives. The more you use your gift the more you get better. We are all gifted for a purpose it should be put to great use.
I pray for you today may you be sold out entirely to kingdom advancement in Jesus name Amen.
