Opening Scripture: Psalm 64: 10 The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and trust in Him. And all the upright in heart shall glory.
Hallelujah! We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Praise the Lord!
For us to enjoy gladness in the Lord, there is trusting to do. We must trust God that He is in control and shall never put us to shame.
The Opening Scripture said, “the righteous shall be glad and trust in the Lord”. The writer is saying that one thing is certain – the righteous have to trust the Lord and only in trusting would gladness be enjoyed. Glory to God!
As the righteous do you trust the Lord?
The whole chapter of Psalm 64 shows how God fought for His children and it’s obvious David trusted Him for the victory. Trust is a firm belief in the reliability, truth, or ability of someone or something.
It’s an assurance the person is capable of handling and taking care of things. Are you aware that our God is capable of taking care of us?
Jeremiah 17: 7 – 8 says Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
Stand firm in God and enjoy the blessedness that comes with trust. Trust makes you walk by faith and not by sight. No matter what you see you are not moved but only by God’s word. The enemy usually paints a picture of failures but in trusting the Lord you are assured that there is no failure in God.
How upright are you in the heart?
What pictures and imagination do you allow to enter your mind and then your heart? Remember our mind is the gateway to our heart. If you win in mind, you win in life. Let your heart be upright in the way you think and act and surely you shall glory. (Study Philippians 4: 8). We are to glory in life.
It’s our birthright but it’s made constant when we are upright in heart. Are you upright in heart? In the answer lies your ability to glory.
I urge you today to trust in the Lord and walk in uprightness of heart and you shall be glad and glory in the Lord.
Note: you need trust and an upright heart to enjoy all the blessings made available for you now and forever more. Hallelujah!
I pray for you today to be glad and glory in the Lord in Jesus Name, Amen.
