Word For Today: A Gentle Tongue Brings Healing

Opening Scripture:
Proverbs 15: 1-4.
1: A soft answer turns away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger.
2: The tongue of the wise utters knowledge rightly, but the mouth of the (self-confident) fool pours out folly.
3: The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch upon the evil and the good.
4: A gentle tongue [with its healing power] is a tree of life, but willful contrariness in it breaks down the spirit.

Glory to God!
A gentle Tongue brings healing. Choose your words to let them be filled with compassion.

Be mindful of the words you say because words are powerful. It can give life or break down the Spirit.
It can heal a broken person and also it can turn them apart. The moment a word is spoken, it can never be retrieved be it a good or a bad word.

Can you boldly say I have bridled my tongue?

Be Christ-like and bridle your tongue. Horses wear bits to enable them to obey us as we guide their whole bodies.
Also though ships are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things.

Speak peace, kindness, blessing, love, faith, comfort, and unity. A gentle tongue is healing and it brings life – you can speak life with your tongue and the dead thing comes alive. Glory!

The words you speak should single you out of the crowd and be a true representative of Christ here on earth. Be different at all times with pleasant words you speak.

The tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness.
Many have brought condemnation to their lives through the words they speak and that can make you lose out on life.
Certainly, bad words stir up anger and therefore be an ambassador of peace.

We can never be different from our words. Impossible!
What kind of words do you say to people around you?
The evil words you say in secret to your husband, wife, parents, children, and friends are seen by God.

Note: No matter how pure you present yourself physically to mislead people, God who sees in secret and physically knows the real you.

Matthew 15:18 ESV says;” But the words you speak come from the heart – that’s what defiles you”.

I urge you, it’s never too late to make amends by seeking genuine repentance. Allow the Holy Spirit to prone you. Anger and rage are not from God that’s why He gave us the fruit of the Spirit as a guide. ( Galatians 5 study )

Bless and not curse.
For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

Note: Who the Lord loves He rebukes.
Be a person of peace; avoid words that break down the spirit and hurt deeply.

I pray for you today that you bridle your tongue as a true ambassador of Christ in Jesus’ name Amen.

In The Spirit Of Love:
Remain Ever Lifted.
