Word For Today: Now! (Part 1)

Opening Scripture: Ephesians 3:20-21
20:Now unto him that can do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21:Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Hallelujah!
Our God is able and willing to prove His love towards His children. According to His power that works in us.

Don’t forget there must be a relationship between you and Him it’s vital to enable Him to work mightly in you.

Note: Nothing about you is bigger than Him. He can do all things we ask (through prayers)or think but there are guidelines to them. What do I mean?

Listen, beloved,
there is a sovereign will of God concerning a matter.
There are certain mysteries about the interaction between our prayers and the sovereign will of God.

The challenge most times is people don’t understand the difference and want to pray to change everything which does not work when it comes to the will of God.

His will is His will. Glory to God!

For instance, John the Baptist was imprisoned, it’s certain, that his disciples were praying for his release and that would have brought glory to God if John had been released to preach for many more years.

Yet, John lost his head. Not the same for peter. God easily could have freed John as He later freed Peter – it was not His will to do so.

In another scenario in Luke 22:31-32 study, When Jesus predicted Peter’s denials, ordinarily I thought it would be right to pray that Peter should not sin at all. But, Jesus didn’t pray that. Rather, He prayed that after Peter had sinned and was restored, he would strengthen his brothers.

God’s sovereign will permit Peter’s sin to strengthen Peter and others in the long run. Hallelujah!
His will is for a larger glory be mature enough to embrace His will.

Listen beloved that you have prayed concerning a particular matter and got no response does not imply God does not answer prayers have you asked if that particular issue was His will?

When you begin to understand these things you will stop being disappointed concerning a particular matter.

God is supreme and has all authority to do His sovereign will. Always trust God’s process.

To be continued…

I pray that your faith in the able God never fails in Jesus’ name Amen.
