Opening Scripture: John 5: 5 – 7
5 Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity of thirty-eight years.
6 When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”
7 The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”
Halleluyah!
This was just a simple question that needed a simple answer.
But the man never knew what he wanted and who was asking if he wanted to make it well. His response nearly cost him his miracle, but glory be to our Lord and personal savior full of compassion and He went ahead to heal him.
Many of us are like the man with infirmities because we don’t know what we want and the power that rests on Christ Jesus we take His words of power or promise for granted.
When we know our worth the price paid for our freedom and the blessings that follow we will never take God’s promises for us in Christ for a ride rather we look to Him in faith and obtain our promise.
When we understand the authority that resides with our Christ Jesus, we doubt not but yield completely in faith.
What has Jesus the Son of God asked you lately through His words? Do you believe it can be achieved or do you think it’s not to be trusted?
Colossians 2: 10 says So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
Listen He has all it takes to bring to pass His words in our life but all we need is faith to access and testify
Hebrews 11: 1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
It does not matter how gloomy the atmosphere is just like the man in the opening scripture had many obstacles, We will be victorious. Remember For we walk by faith, not by sight.
Bad /ugly situations are temporal but God’s word is everlasting. Hold on to God’s word.
